Review
Until I read Ruff s memoir, I was unaware of her inner demons. As a neurosurgeon and Rachel s friend, what could I have done to help her? I applaud her for sharing her secret social media addiction. In a world filled with digital distractions, I d prescribe this book for anyone silently suffering from online overload. --Dr. Sanjay Gupta

Rachel Ruff has written a compelling and brutally honest book about her addiction to the social media website Facebook. The strength of her story is that she s not arguing that Facebook is evil. She s simply describing how she allowed Facebook to take over her life. Perhaps you ll recognize yourself here. If you do, you ll also find hope. I m honored to be one of Rachel s REAL friends. --John DeDakis

Rachel Ruff has courageously exposed what just may be the 21st century s most insidious addiction: Facebook. Defriending Facebook is to social media what the Surgeon General Warning was to Big Tobacco. --Jeannine Dillon

Not just an entertaining memoir...
By Letitia Hays
The author writes with a charming candor that makes you want to be her a friend within the first few pages. The book discusses a few subject matters I was interested in, and as an avid consumer of memoirs, it's important for me as a reader, to hear the author's authentic voice. Ruff's clarity and self-depricating humor affirm she pulled no punches in telling this story. This book is not just an entertaining memoir, but is also a useful guide for auditing one's own social media habits for signs of dependancy.
